Shamina shawls are hand spun, woven on handlooms and made from exclusive fine cashmere fiber which is textured and processed exactly as "shahtoosh shawls". This unique fabric is manufactured completely by hand process, starting from gathering of Cashmere to spinning and then processing it on Handlooms. This Cashmere is about 15-16 Microns which is very similar to shahtoosh shawls at about 13 microns. The process of making Shamina shawls is exactly similar to Shahtoosh shawls in order to produce an alternative shawls which are very thin but strong and yet very warm to match the qualities of shahtoosh shawls. These shawls are single ply and with 1/2 inch self fringes. These shawls are all hand-made in Kashmir, Northern Himalayan region of India.
